Saying ‘Excuse Me’ in Korean

1. Getting attention of a waiter/waitress in a restaurant

여기요! 저기요! Do it while waving your hand. 여기요 literally means ‘here’ (I’m over here) and 저기요 means ‘there’ (hey you over there).

2. Apologizing in advance for being impolite or interrupting someone. 실례합니다 or at the start of a sentence 실례지만 (excuse me, but ….)

3. 잠시만요, it literally means ‘only a brief moment’ .
