Korean Grammar Topic Particle 는/은

As topic particle 는 and 은 make the preceding noun becomes the topic of a sentence.

는 and 은 have the same function; the difference is only in the placement.

는 is placed after a word ends with a vowel, and 은 is placed after a word ends with a consonant.

Examples:

  1. 사라는학생이에요.
  2. 제이슨은학생이에요.
